Every time I hear someone say that their time is money, I sit back and think to myself, that money doesn’t have any monetary value, so how can someone put a time valuation on money. Many people don’t realize how important time really is.
Michael Jackson only had 50 years to live his life and make a huge influence by inspiring people through the music he produced. Even though he was one of the most powerful figures in the world and had all the money that he could ever imagine, you still have your life and that is something that you cannot take back. People have to start realizing this and stop thinking about how money is everything because it is not.
Time vs. Money
Even though we need money to survive, I would start to place a high value on the amount of time that you put on certain things. It is proven throughout the history of human existence that we spend most of our time competing with each other instead of helping each other succeed.
If we began to change this type of mindset, we would then know the true value of time because we would see success a lot faster because we would be working together in unison.
So I would begin to help as many people out as possible, so that you can value your time a lot better instead of always thinking about money.

Amen, it takes more time to be greedy and deceitful then it does to be charitable and giving. People are more inclined to lend a helping hand to those that have helped them. I chose to be helpful, useful, resourceful and charitable; the alternative is far too costly.

It is a simple concept. The more that you give, the more that you will receive. Make sure that you checkout Eric’s post on being a good receiver. It is a very powerful post
I do agree that time is not money. The proper use of our time will decide our success in this life. And success is also not about money but our overall well-being.
Well said Walter. Once we start realizing this as an overall society, we will all begin to prosper and discover the the true means of life.
Life is not money but we want to money for life.
Money is always around us (literally,) and so it’s more on how we choose to capitalize on that. Time however… our life, memories, and experiences; those only happen once, and you can never get those moments of your life back.
Besides, what’s the point of money anyways? Is it not to enhance our lives so that those experiences we undergo are more enjoyable?
Donny,
I’m glad to see that someone else notices that! Me myself I just realized that time is more important than money. While I was attending The Ohio State University, my professors always used to say find something that you love doing and the money will come. They stated not to focus on the money because you may end up doing something that you hate. I first thought they were crazy until I had a job where I dreaded waking up in the morning. Although I was productive and made a lot of money, I found something else doing what I loved.
Mahalo (thank you) for your post on the value of time! I love your statement on where to begin…by helping as many people as possible, so you will value your time. Very cool!
Aloha,
Kellie :0)
