Why Network Marketing Has a Bad Stereotype?

When people hear the words “network marketing” or “MLM”, they automatically associate those words with pyramid schemes. We have to get over this stereotype because in most cases this is not true.

I myself was a victim of this until I took the time to research and learn more about the industry. It is one of the greatest industries to be in if you are trying to obtain true wealth through having leveraged income.

I first heard the term “network marketing” about my freshman year in college because my parents where part of an organization called Primerica. They had been in the business for about 5 years and I have to say they were doing pretty good within the organization. Even though they were doing good, I didn’t understand the concept of recruiting people into a business were you made money off of them. Fast forward to my junior year in college and they were no longer apart of the organization because Citigroup end up buying them and they did not like the direction that the company was going, so they left the business.

This left a bad taste in my mouth because I know that they worked very hard to get people on their team and they were left with nothing when they left. So this is the reason why I had the bad stereotype about network marketing.

We are now in the year 2009 and times have really changed. We are in an economy where the unemployment rate across the country is a staggering 7% and layoffs continue to happen everyday. Companies are beginning to downsize on their employees getting one person to do the job of several. There is no better time in history to become apart of a network marketing company.

I believe that in the next 5 to 1o years, there will be no salaried jobs in the marketplace and everything will be performance based. This will be due to employers trying to weed out the people within their organizations who aren’t fulfilling their job description. I recommend that you take a look at some of the opportunities that are presented on the site and seriously consider joining one of them to help prepare you for the future.

I just hit the tip of the iceberg with the benefits of joining a network marketing company. There are tons of other reasons why you should definitely be apart of one if not several. I am saying this because I have seen a lot of things in my life and I want to have a secure future and I feel that I will be more than able to because I will have several streams of residual income coming in throughout my entire life.
