Mom blogs are not only a creative outlet and a way to connect and relate to mom’s around the world…They have also become big business.
Because of the Internet savvy and business minded mom’s are once again able to stay at home with their children, while running their own profitable online empires. Mommy blogs have evolved.
Mommy bloggers who once wrote random posts on a variety of humorous or informative topics are now into search engine optimization and building their brands online…and they are doing a darn good job of it.
The base for a winning mommy blog? You’ve got to be the real deal.
Mom’s want to connect with other mom’s, to get ideas, trade recipes, figure out how to possibly manage their time, compare the craziness of their life to another mom, and possibly even vent a little along the way.
We’ve visited dozens of mommy blogs and came up with our list of the top 5 up and coming mommy bloggers of 2011. We took popularity, Alexa ranking, traffic, the amount of comments, and activity on the sites into consideration to come up with our top picks.
The following blogs are not just online diaries. These are well put together, packed with solid information, and are excellent examples of what a winning blog should look like.

I came to this article looking for up and coming bloggers……these bloggers have been professionals for years….NONE of the ones you listed are even slightly new in the blogosphere, to media, or campaigns. They are all lovely women, but not for this title.

This is definitely a great list of ladies! Not sure I’d call them “up and coming” since they have been around for quite some time and already have a pretty strong following, but they are definitely awesome!
.-= Lindsay´s last blog ..A Story of Breast Cancer Survival =-.
Most of these blogs have been around for years, haven’t they?

I don’t consider 5 minutes to Mom up and coming, I see that site as already there and has been for a while.
.-= Nicole ´s last blog ..Show Me Your Tees! =-.
These are all pretty well established bloggers already, not really up and coming but they do ROCK!
.-= Brandy´s last blog ..Lunch in Style with @Chuggington LunchBoxes =-.
HI Nice of you to put together a list but I have to agree with the other ladies these ladies have been around for a long time and they are established. Up and coming…??? No they are HERE and have been for several years now.
Mom bloggers aren’t around to just trade recipes. Were a voice of a nation of women we want to connect and share a whole lot more than just recipes. We share opinions. Ideas. Research. Products. Reviews. Company campaigns. and yes yes many of us do run Giveaways including me.
.-= Tricia @Night owl mama´s last blog ..Win Cash Prizes in the “EveryDay Tips for Everyone” Contest on Facebook =-.
I appreciate the efforts made by all mom bloggers. Your guidance will surely help all new moms passing through a difficult phase. I am going to become a mom for the first, and I was very worried about the future, especially when I see mothers going through such a tough phase while handling children. I am looking forward for great tips coming from the mom bloggers.
Great post. I too have a blog. But it kinda falls between health, being a mommy and a cook. I guess all mommies have to dabble into everything. One day I hope to be included in your list. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the post.
Just started this new adventure and would love for people to check it out and follow if they like. I write about being mommy, wife, educator, and shopaholic.
