Do you have any idea what the fastest growing trend in 2010 is going to be? That is right, you guessed it, tribe building.
Most bloggers or marketers that I talk to are unfamiliar with the strategy of building a tribe. Seth Godin defines a tribe as a group who are connected to one another, a leader, and an idea. These are quite easy to build, you just need to go out and find like-minded people that are interested in sharing their ideas and promoting each other. This is absolutely a phenomenal concept that should be implementing in your personal brand development strategy.
It you have been on Facebook lately, than you have probably seen social media starting to shift toward a new evolution. An evolution that will cause the Internet to be a massive meeting ground for major alliances across the country. There has already been tribe syndication Facebook groups created that I highly recommend that you join and start connecting with a lot of the people in these groups.

I have created a list below to feature all of the current top 10 tribe building leaders. It took me a while to come up with this list because this trend is so new and it was hard for me to distinguish all of the most influential people that have revolutionized this trend already and those that are taking it to the next level. This list is based solely on my opinion and research alone and not an actual list based upon facts. After you read this post, I would like you to visit each of their websites and learn a little bit more about them because if you want to standout as a leader in this industry, you need to follow the people who lead massive amounts of other people.
1. Napolen Hill
Everyone knows Hill by one of the greatest motivation books of all time, ‘Think and Grow Rich“. In this book he talks about a process known as masterminding. This is based upon the same concepts of tribe building. Develop a mastermind group of 6 leaders who share a common interest to lead in discussion and empower those that they surround themselves with. This is a powerful strategy if done correctly because it has the possibilities of creating six degrees of separation from anyone in the world that you need to connect with.
2. Seth Godin
The marketing genius himself behind the whole tribe building concept. He has wrote a book called Tribes that I think is a must read in order for you to fully get the entire process. Seth Godin speaks all around the world about his psychological marketing theories that he feels will shape the way buyers interact with sellers. He is coined as a marketing genius with his various Internet creations that is lead by his large Squidoo community that he founded.
3. Jonathan Budd
It only took Jonathan 3 years to build a million dollar network marketing organization that amassed thousands and thousands of people in his downline. He is known today as one of the top leaders in the entire industry because of his desire to achieve great things by influencing the hearts and minds of many. Budd is know on the verge of taking things to the next level by developing his next generation of leaders that will create their own tribe community. He has also created his own products and an attraction marketing system to help people replicate his same success that he has had online.
4. Raven Starre
Raven is an MLM veteran who got here start in the industry at the young age of 18. She is one of the highest women earners in the entire MLM industry, creating a downline of over 70,000 distributors for one company alone. To take this whole social media thing to the next level, she created her own MLM Reality Show where she showcases realtime events that are currently happening in her life. She has amassed a large network of friends on Facebook and continues to grow her network daily just by providing motivation daily quotes to help motivate those that are struggling in the industry.

5. Katie Freiling
Just calling Katie a social media, blogging, and personal development coach would be an understatement. She is natural born leader that has the ability to influence massive amounts of people by her genuine knowledge obtains. If you just look down this list alone, you will see that some of the people were her top past students. This says a lot because is industry is all about replicating yourself over and over and this is what she has done in a quick amount of time. I’m sure 2010 is going to be a huge year for Katie because she has set a great foundation for herself along with others.
6. Gina Carr
Known as the “Tribe Builder”, Gina is a Harvard Business School graduate that is a serial entrepreneur that enjoys helping leaders build tribes of passionate people who want to change the world. She has a genuine passion for helping other people succeed and is a pure marketing genius. If you have not heard of her yet, I am sure that you will because she has a lot of big things that she is currently working on that will help create value to the industry.
7. Kary Rogney
Where do I start with a person like Kary. He has quickly become one of my close friends and mentors along with many others. He has took this whole tribe building thing by the palm of his hand and taken it to the next level. If you want to learn a thing or two about making connections via the social networks, this is the person that I would go to. Kary has a the natural ability to build relationships with people of influence. I have a keen belief that by the end of 2010, Kary will become a household name on the Internet.
8. Eric Goldstein
Another one of my good friends that has tons of knowledge when it comes to social media and personal development. Eric is another person that likes to add value in other peoples lives and also influences people by motivating them based upon their strengths. Eric is another one of Katie’s star students that will empower thousands of people in the coming year. He has also take the tribe concept by the hand and creating his own identity and following.
9. Michael Feil
I just meet Mike a few weeks ago through one of the tribe communities that I am involved with and the first thing that I learned about Mike when talking to him, that he is very knowledgeable when it comes to the detailed tactics involving social media. He knows a lot of strategies that must people would never even think of within the social networks. He has also developed his own following and is looking to take things to the next level in this year. Be on the lookout.
10. Ken Pickard
Last but not least, there is Ken Pickard, the Network Dad himself. Another one of Katie’s premier students that has taken this whole trend to the next level. I have just started building a friendship with Ken and he is absolutely a great individual who genuine cares about the interest of others. He is one of the leaders of his own tribe and has established relationships with top industry leaders. It is a reoccurring thing that those who are more likely to succeed, hang around successful people. Ken is definitely one of those people that you need to align yourself with.
Well there you have it, that is my list of the top 10 tribe Jedi Masters. I apologize in advance for any people that I might have left off of the list, but that might motivate you to make sure that you are on the next list that I create. I plan to be on this list myself in the near future because I feel that I have what it takes to take this thing to the next level and influence the hearts and minds of many.
