Most people don’t even know what safelists are and those that do, don’t know how to use them effective to send massive amounts of targeted traffic to your website. I am here to help you overcome this obstacle so that you will get the most benefit out of using them.
What is a safelist?
A safelist is a mailing list where all members can mail to each other. These emails cannot be considered as spam because every member has opted in and comfirmed their email adress. A safelist can be used to advertise websites, business oppertunities and so forth.
Benefits of Opt-in Safelists
1. Email to thousands - this can be done with free safe lists or paid safe lists. Even if you only get a 1% response from thousands, you interact with those that will respond.
2. It’s immediate – you can instantly send your ad and receive an immediate response from those interested. With ezine ads, you often have to wait for days or weeks before your ad is displayed.
3. Test your product or service – safelists are a good place to begin testing your ad, before you spend a lot of money on other advertising methods.
4. Track your ads – track those ads that pull the best. (Some safelists incorporate tracking in their subscriptions). You can then use these same ads repeatedly in other forms of advertising. The key is to have a great headline, because users will be scanning them for what catches their eye.
5. Low cost way of email marketing – this is a much faster,�
less expensive way to market than offline marketing. You can reach many more people in a shorter space of time.
6. No fear of spamming or being penalized for spamming – this is because all subscribers are strictly opt-in.
Now that I gave you a little bit more information about safelists, I will now explain how to actually use them effectively. Even though safelists are free to join and provide free advertising, by clicking on other ads, signing up ads, or paying for extra credits, they will cause you to waste a tremendous amount of time if you keep trying to view ads to obtain credits. To tell you the real truth, I don’t even bother with the credit based, banner, or text ads advertising. Not to say that you won’t get any traffic or leads from it, I just feel from my experience that the conversions are too low for the amount of time that you will spend on trying to obtain this type of traffic.
So what do I recommend that you do?
I only recommend using contact, mega, and super solos. Even though these will cost you (really cheap for the amount of traffic you will receive), you will receive tons of website views, higher conversions, and more leads from purchasing these. These will go out to the contact email of all of the members in the safelists database. The contact email is the email that the member placed to be contacted about any messages from the admin. This is huge because these are most likely the users main email that they use on a daily basis.
