What Does Opportunity Really Mean…

One thing that practically all people on the Internet know is that money and opportunities does exist here. Sure there are the high-profile success stories such as Google and Facebook among others, but there are also quite a lot of successful Internet entrepreneurs, who seem to have a knack for finding, and cashing in on opportunities.

These entrepreneurs sometimes utilize their formulas for success as a means to provide a stream of income. Basically, a lot of the opportunities on the Internet talk about multiple streams of income and this is exactly what the entrepreneurs are doing on two fronts, one is a stream of income for themselves, which is done by providing other people a means to get their own stream of income.

Breaking Down the Barrier

For most people, the biggest barrier to getting into a successful Internet venture, is the amount of resources needed. By resources actually we are talking about intellectual and not financial resources, because unlike before, the sheer number of people hooked up to the Internet makes the path to success more complicated.

Whereas before, a simple one-page website was enough to generate tons of money for the early trailblazers, the mind-boggling amount of slick websites that exist today, make it quite difficult for a website to stand out from the rest.

A New Generation has Begun

What is even more significant, is that 75% of new business startups, including people who want to work from their homes, are actually the baby boomers.

This means that the generation that dominates the new Internet entrepreneur market, is one that is not that Internet savvy particularly in the social media aspects of the new web 2.0.

CHECK OUT iPAS NOW

The Founders

Chris-Jones-ipas

Chris Jones

This is the market that the Internet Prospect Acceleration Systems, or iPAS for short is targeting squarely. The iPAS is the brainchild of the collaboration between Chris Jones and Chris Campbell, and is the result of their years of experience in entrepreneurship, both online and off-line.

The system is presented by the founders to be both the means to take advantage of an opportunity and as the opportunity itself. Then they proceed to quote a saying that says :

Timing beats talent any day, but iPAS already has both talent and timing and the only missing element is YOU, the iPAS entrepreneur.

Chris-Campbell-ipas

Chris Campbell

Lofty goals indeed, and in a manner that mimics many successful web launches, they are also creating a lot of anticipation leading up to their full-blown launch.

So our concern now is threefold, one what is the IPAS?

Second, how does it work?

Last and certainly not the least, will it work?

So What Actually is the iPas?

iPas Guide

What is the iPAS? The founders are quick to state that it is not a get rich quick scheme, or guarantee of instant success. This is perhaps an effort to distinguish themselves from other Internet businesses, how many of which have been unable to deliver on their promises.

The iPAS is something like a one-stop shop, which offers the opportunity to have an Internet business without worrying about too many complications.

Essentially, the system proposes to take care of the matters in business that you don’t want to be burdened with, while allowing you to concentrate on the aspects of business you prefer.

The Choice is Yours

When you sign-up with iPAS, you choose products from their product line, and decide how you wish to promote them including the extent of your participation.

Now here is where another departure is made from the usual mold of Internet business. The founders explicitly state that the depth and quality of your involvement has a significant impact on the overall profitability of your IPAS business.

Most other Internet businesses offer an automatic income generator which today, sets off the scam alarms of most people.

Once you have chosen your product, you are then provided with a system for setting up a business on the Internet. In fact, much of the work in this area will be done for you. This includes website design, website set-up, marketing plans, ad placement, and sales follow through.

What Happens After you Sign-up, Do you get left Alone?

When you sign up with the program, you are given access to a wide variety of resources, knowledge and skills which practically no entrepreneur could acquire on their own.

In fact even if they are able to train themselves to have all of these resources and skills, by the time they have gained mastery of it, they will need to train themselves once again.

So basically iPAS is all about leverage, using resources to fast track business plans. It allows entrepreneurs to outsource their weaknesses in order to focus on their strengths

iPAS FOCUSES ON 4 MAJOR ELEMENTS:

The iPAS System

1. Development – This includes websites, sales letters, autoresponders, webinars, online video and all other elements needed for a powerful business presentation. Extensive use of social media is utilized here.

iPas Products

2. Marketing Funnel - Effect and efficient marketing to drive targeted traffic to your website. IPAS has a staff of highly competent marketing professionals with extensive experience and success in online and offline ventures.

The founders state that some traditional non-internet forms of marketing have been seen to be effective in promoting certain products. Thus they are able to utilize some of these traditional techniques to more effectively market products compared to purely online means.

iPas Marketing Funnel

3. Sales System - Basically an extended sales pitch designed for maximum sales success. This is the area where most other systems fail to provide sufficiently.

The problem is that this is by far the most important part of an Internet business. It takes a lot of experience to be able to properly handle a reluctant buyer and transform them into winning clients.

The founders of IPAS point out that studies showed that most people needed to be exposed seven times to a sales message before they buy. They boast that they went to extremes, creating up to 40 exposures to ensure conversion from a interested party, to a sure buyer.

iPas Sales System

4. Closing System - The coaches will help you develop your weaknesses, while maximizing you strengths. Then the call centers will take care of following up on clients, handling incoming calls, etc. This element is extremely valuable as well since the business coaches are said to be people with extensive experience in the Internet business world.

Those four elements are essential to Internet business success today. As you can see, a single entrepreneur will definitely be intimidated and put off by the complications and difficulties involved in providing those four elements.

iPas Closing System

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

iPas Sales Funnel

While this is not specifically mentioned in any of the iPAS materials, the way in which they propose to provide success is by freeing the Internet entrepreneur from having to reinvent the wheel so to speak.

By freeing the entrepreneurs from the many concerns inherent in the Internet business, they are able to concentrate on their vision and strengths.

Total Genius

The concept is somewhat akin to that of an inventor or a visionary. The entrepreneur is the inventor and visualizes a product or an idea which they think will sell.

They then sell it to a company which will manufacture, promote, sell and support it. The entrepreneur or the inventor will then receive royalties or commissions or dividends depending on their prior agreement with the company.

In the case of the IPAS, they even provide products for you to choose from, and instead of you selling ideas to the company, you will partner with them so they can perform everything from manufacturing all the way to supporting the product.

The success of an IPAS business venture relies heavily on what they call the concept of force multiplication. They compare it to the concept of a single machine gunner, replacing several riflemen.

In business terms, they multiply the strength of a single entrepreneur, by providing access to a pool of highly skilled people, offering all the different aspects of doing business successfully on the Internet.

THE VERDICT

iPas Verdict

Like many Internet business ventures, a great deal of the success involved here relies heavily on quick action, and finding a good niche.

This is why it is important to know the products, which iPAS will be selling because that will become a major determinant with regards to the viability of the business venture. After all, no matter how good your business backend is, success is determined largely by how good your product is.

Do the Products Offer Value?

While it is true that good salesman can sell anything, even mediocre products, I am assuming that you, the potential Internet entrepreneur, is more concerned with long-term business success.

Even if a company has a team of high-powered salesmen selling their mediocre products successfully, it is a certainty that in this day and age, they will not be able to sell it for long and once the market wises up, that company will be headed to a Chapter 11, or bankruptcy proceedings.

So the core of long term Internet business success calls for an entrepreneur who banks on a good product, promotes and supports it well. Since iPAS provides the products, promotions and support, your sole task is to ensure that your product of choice, and your business strategies are viable.

While the founders offer a trial period, for a minimal amount, it is not that long so it is extremely important for the prospective entrepreneur to get up to speed right away in order to determine the suitability and viability of iPAS for their profile and business goals.

iPAS provides a unique package, which frees the entrepreneur from having to do too many important and highly involved tasks which are necessary for business success.

They offer cutting edge strategies which come as a result of the business experience of the founders and the competency of their staff. The fact that they provide business coaches provides even more value to their selling proposition.

The Choice is Yours

So is the iPAS one that we highly recommend? Yes it is, with one caveat. As mentioned earlier, your participation in the program is vital and before even starting the program, you must make a judgment call with regards to the viability of the products offered.

If you find that some or all of the iPAS products are potentially lucrative, then by all means jump into the program, since you have the assurance that a high-powered team of marketing and sales professionals, business coaches and web designers are behind you.

The Internet makes demands on the entrepreneur, which are unlike any that the pre-Internet entrepreneurs underwent. It’s more than just speed, because it requires concurrent knowledge and skills in so many different areas in order for a company or an individual to have a shot at success.

iPas Testimonials

It’s a totally new paradigm, and it’s going to take quite a while for the target market of iPAS to acquire it on their own. So assuming that a common ground can be found between the entrepreneur and product portfolio of iPAS, then partnering with them can multiply the chances of the entrepreneur success.

It took me a few pages of a Google search to find something related to the iPAS email I got from someone today. This blog was also a disappointment to read thru. I still don’t know what the products are or do, and now I’m wondering if I need to be the inventor behind a product. Another thing that stands out is how the sales pitch made this almost seem like a hands-off business, but the application wanted to know if I had up to 10-20+ hours to spend on my business. If this company is doing almost all the work-based on my marketing budget-just what am I doing?
I’m forced to believe after these 2 presentations I’ve read thru that this is MLM or network marketing. Making money from such scams doesn’t make them legitimate in my eyes and I would not get involved in one again.
If you’d care to try and convince me as to otherwise, I’ve checked off the box for an email reply. If you’re legit and want to be honest and up-front, with full disclosure of this company-products, services, and expected work involved-then man-up and reply to me.

I enrolled in iPAS back in Febuary of 2011. The team of Chris & Chris are two of the smoother talkers out there. When I enrolled it was $495 for your web site, and you then had to purchase “advertising” for the “sale funnel”. They also decided to change the rules, and the business was shut down for two months to develope the “Latest and greatest” in internet marketing. If I would have been smarter, why would they care how many hours a week I wanted to work for a “hands off” income? I am happy to say that I did not invest $5 to 10K when they made the “change”. What am I selling? Who knows I never received the opportunity to decide on my product line. I also had two “coaches” who I never thought were the brightest lights in the hallway. You must have a background in marketing, get through the double talk and see if it is what you want. I have another financial activity, Residualincomestore.com. It works and I do have a good income with it. It does take effort though. Hope to hear from you.

Donny,
The message from Tim generally covers my concerns. Is this a catalog type operation where a potential customer for x product (camera?) sends a email request for more info and then receives a land line phone to make a pitch? The presentation leaves out more than it answers. Can you shed more light?

Hi,
I’m also checking out iPAS.. I notice that there haven’t been any comments here for awhile and I wondered what your experience was currently with the program.

I know it’s a very new system, but there are lots of new stuff out there that perports to be the “be all” program. I am interested, tho.
Thanks..

hello all,

Just stopping in to say hello and give a small update. iPAS is still rolling out its last two phases. The rest of the launch will be done over the next 60 days including the new advertising tracking system (a VERY expensive cms tracking system for your advertising, all hand coded), new ipas business kit, new corporate office in Anderson Indiana, improved customer support and over 10 new account managers and business coaches to help manage the growth.

Going to a heck of a ride over the next 60 days.

Cheers,

This sounds intriguing but it should not be difficult to find the products and services available and so far I can’t. Unable to find products for a company makes me very uneasy about the company and me investing money and time.

Just re-read the review and comments and also wondering about the products as well. As the review above states,

…”So is the iPAS one that we highly recommend? Yes it is, with one caveat. As mentioned earlier, your participation in the program is vital and before even starting the program, you must make a judgment call with regards to the viability of the products offered.

If you find that some or all of the iPAS products are potentially lucrative, then by all means jump into the program, since you have the assurance that a high-powered team of marketing and sales professionals, business coaches and web designers are behind you.”

Is there a way to find out about the products BEFORE signing up? Just curious. Certainly don’t want to violate any non-compete, but if I was going to sell cars, I’d like to know if I was offering Edsels or Mercedes… jus’ sayin’ (I don’t want to sell cars, btw.) If I missed something, please let me know.
Thanks,
Deb

Ya know, a quick Google search on “Chris Campbell” and “Matthew Sunderland” with the word SCAM after each name reveals a lot of useful information…just sayin’.

Reply

Chris Jones March 8, 2011 at 12:28 pm

Please look into the dates on that forum. Matthew Sunderland was Chris’s former business partner which ended due to disagreements. Also don’t look at the marketer, look at the companies that are no longer around due to bad ownership. Chris was a marketer for those companies, did a fantastic job, yet the companies closed their doors, leaving everyone hanging in limbo. Yet, people still call the marketers a scammer. Come on people, do better research. Think about it… A marketer that has brought several companies to big numbers, only to be turned away because they closed their doors. Now he says enough is enough and opens his own company, I would open my eyes and say, “wow this guy is dedicated and willing to build something great”. You know he can market, you know he knows his stuff. Obviously the company iPAS is a sound company. So just use your business skills and take an educated approach to joining a business, not other peoples 4 year old opinions.

Hello, Chris,
Thanks for your attention to these questions. I get what you say about separating the marketer from the companies and it makes perfect sense. However, would you be so kind to address the product type question that I and several others asked above – or if I missed that key info, please just point me in the right direction.
Kindly,

Chris … you’ve got to understand that most of us have been scammed in the past (many more than once!). So I think skeptisism is very healthy and called for in these situations (before handing over our money). I have been researching iPas as well. The company sounds great, but you can’t blame people for doing the research and being concerned when negative things are found.

You made very valid points in your response and I appreciate you addressing some questions I also had. I can’t judge anyone for anything because I have not had any success online. You all are doing way better than I, so, in my opinion, you all are the leaders that we can learn from. We just want to make sure we aren’t being played (once again).

Thank you and good luck to everyone! :)

Posed to sell one of your iPAS products but then a pust by one of your phone sales reps to buy the iPAS system more than anything? If I am wrong, I too would like the answers that were asked of Chris J. I would like to know what products are available, because I already have 6 available website of my own waiting for viable products. Ladd

I’m sure wasn’t easy for “both Chris” to start and they also were scammed.
If they remember the past, and have great human values, and knowing
that helping honestly(sure is a bussiness both ways)they willbe blessed

I have some questions: I don’t have a website ,Ipas will prove it but.we have
to pay for it? I’m a newbie, and aldow my resears,I trust sometimes and…once
inside the program,I have to buy stuffs.
I trust “both Chris” that the products must be well choosen, after all they wil
win too! I whish to start whith no or litle money and gladly I give percentages
of my sales.

Help us all and we are going to be the best voice of IPAS to the world.

Just came across iPAS and have many of the same questions. A rep called before I had even finished the videos and was very guarded with the info that he would give me. I asked many of the question asked in other posts and got NO answers. It was more of a hard sell than providing needed info for a reasonable due diligence. I am going to try to skype Chris Jones and see what happens. I have a ton of questions and think that they should provide answers, based on the coments by Chris Campbell in his videos. I can be emailed at kaablueii@yahoo.com for anyone who can pass along info or would like to colaborate on research. I have been screwed before and want to avoid it again and would imagine that some of you have had the same experience.

I am one to believe God to enlarge and bless my bussiness. My coach has contacted me and is supportive wether I choose to let IPAS market for me or just allow my coach work with me. Either way there is support and I have set my goals average for now, but I have to say there is no pressure. They totally work with you. I think the is good and one day I plan to meet the two gentlemen that changed this Military Family’s Life. Check out IPAS I did and I don’t believe that I am gonna regret it.

Hi,
I was a member at prospering.com, they offered something similar to this. They offered to help me build business and I paid $5k to join. After that guy called me 8 times, once per week for 10 minutes to talk about marketing basics, how to set up website and how to create PPC campaign. After that they didn’t call or send email. I have a blog now that cost me $5,000 and I have made one sale since. I did all kind of advertising, from ppc to articles and solo ads. I am afraid that iPAS is not telling us much about products and price.I don’t want to make the same mistake twice. Initial cost for iPAS was $495,I heard , because I contacted people who joined, that’s for website only. Advertising cost is extra. Some say upgrade will cost extra $5k-$10k.People I contacted didn’t make money yet , some of them didn’t get website since April and others can NOT unsubscribe.I don’t want to judge anyone I just want to know 2 things:
1.What I get exactly and
2.What is the final price for it? (with upgrades and extra costs)
I hope you understand my concern because this looks too good to be true.
Thank you
Sam

Whoa! From what I’ve gathered in my couple of days of researching iPas is that it is a system for marketing your affiliate business and/or internet marketing

business, an advertising co-op (an expensive one) and an internet marketing education platform with proven marketing and marketing processes. You can tell that because we are all here talking about it.

Cost from what I have seen range from just south of $300 – $50K for the executive package.

Looks interesting may check it out some more but if you have that type of money there are platforms that can teach you tactics to market your business

That’s really the key get your product in front of your target audience, give value (before they buy), follow up, see if your product fills there need or want, then give your new client what he needs!

iPas seems to be an attempt to do this for you but you have to dig to try and find out

In the video Chris says he isn’t asking for money from us & he does NOT need it but yet I understand it cost almost $500.00 to get started so to me Chris is a liar & this is a scam. If I work for you then YOU PAY ME I DON’T PAY YOU BOTTOM LINE. I’m NOT interested.

Bette Carmer August 15, 2011 at 2:26 pm

I joined iPAS in early May 2011. I then gave them $20,000 to promote their affiliate program for me. It was quite a stretch for me because you see they took $10,000 out of two of my credit card accounts. This was supposed to start me off to riches and was to begin showing money coming in in about four weeks.

Well, it’s been three months now and I have 13 people that initially showed an interest in iPAS until they found out they would be asked for money. Now, they just sit on a list of 13 names.

Originally, when I joined I was assigned a coach and given telephone numbers of four more people who would help me if I needed it. After my money disappeared however I quickly found that no one would talk to me. I left numerous messages to call me. No one called. After many attempts to contact someone, anyone, I attended a training session in which Chris Jones was presenting. Chris is one of the two men who founded the company. As luck would have it there was only one other person besides myself in attendance. I told him I was having some difficulty and asked him if I could call him. He said Oh, of course and he gave me his personal telephone phone number. Shortly, thereafter I called him and he couldn’t have been nicer. I told him my story (couldn’t get through it without crying) and he said that from here on out he would be my coach. He asked that I call him each Tuesday around 1:00 o’clock and to leave a message asking “what’s up” and then he will call me back.

Shortly before I called him I received an email message thanking me for ordering a host for my websites and telling me I owe them $29.95 month. I knew nothing about it and didn’t order it so I told Chris about it. He told me that as soon as he hung up he was going to make a telephone call and arrange to have the hosting paid for me. He said I would never have to worry about that again.
I was so broke at this time that $29.95 was a real hardship. Chris then told me I needed to get busy and learn all that I could about IPAS and to call the next Tuesday. Needless to say I was much relieved. iPAS has quite a presence on the internet. It’s obvious that a lot of money has been spent portraying an honest business that is sweeping the country. I just couldn’t believe that it was anything other than what was portrayed.

But, now I am definitely convinced that management at iPAS is a group of thieves. When I called Chris the next Tuesday, I waited for his call back and it never came. I called him every day for several days and have yet to talk to him again. I hate to admit it but I am 77 years old and should have known better than to release any money to iPAS at all but it is presented so well. Not only that but I am convinced that many people have been treated well and have prospered. Unfortunely, some people like me must provide some sort of entertainment for them.

My problem now is what should I do about this? The only thing I can think of is to file a police report and continue to write to people like you in the hope someone will help me. Maybe in this way I can prevent this from happening to others.

If you have any thoughts on this I would love to hear them. I am now $20,000 in debt and on a fixed income. I am practically desparate. If you know of any one else in this situation I’d like to know who they are.

Other than that I am sorry to burden you with this.

I’m glad I read everyone’s comments, especially the poor 77 year old lady who lost $20,000 to this scam. I had gotten as far as the video when I decided to research this business. Boy, am I glad I did !!!! Besides, I don’t have the funds to invest into anything right now, especially when I know I will be losing money before I could even get started.

Betty,
I read your story on a blog about ipas. I have not joined them and will not after reading about them.
If you haven’t gotten your money back, I would contact the 2 credit card companies, (the phone numbers are on your statements) and contest the charges. If you are not satisfied with any purchase on a credit card, they should charge back ipas and credit your account.
Be firm with the credit card companies. This is no different then if you purchased something, never got it, but got charged anyway.
Good luck.
John

Hey Chris, thank you for making something real. Thank you for making the right decision, by putting time and effort into a LEGIT and LEGAL business. I don’t have the $$ now, I’m unemployed, and flat broke :( , but I will give this a shot as soon as I start my new job…you have my word.

P.S. All of you people out there with questions, don’t bust this guys chops be nice. He could have been a prick and joined the rest of the scam artists out there, because they appear to be doing okay.

Well I just read alot of comments from months ago, mostly bad things. Sounds like a pyramid scheme. The guys ay the top want as many of us bobo’s to make money for them. Even if we dont, they still get our money out of us, whether you get smart after the first couple hundred and drop out or you are sitting around for several months waiting for something to happen after spending thousands. The Chris’s are sitting somewhere drinking drinks with little umbrellas in them, must be nice. Oh well they are the ones who thought of this legal way to get money for nothing. I guess I am just jealous I did not think of it or have a buddie who had an idea I could steal. If I have got this all wrong, give me a shout and prove it with a nonevasive conversation with facts about what products I am suppose to sell before you suck me in to where you have my money and I have a growing grudge.

Is it possible that we’ve all been dooped? I have to admit that I’m having the same sort of troubles that I’m reading about and I’m starting to wonder. However, call me nieve, I think that my troubles are mostly my blame. The truth is that I knew there was some effort to be made going into this and I havn’t exacly given 110%. I still think that one day it’s going to click and I’ll be able to turn a profit out of this buisness. They tell you up front that you have to have the drive and determination to make this work for you. They do tell you up front that it will envolve some work and discipline on your part. I never expected this to be the simplest thing I’ve ever done. Don’t give up because of a couple of let downs. Keep going and try again.

I got a flyer in the mail offering the iPAS system FREE for a few people. When you get something that says free that you didn’t order or have any past connections with the company then you know you name was purchased along with 100′s of others (not a few people) getting the same offer.

This is a joke! What a scam and a waste of time out of my day. It would help their credibility if they had any clue about English grammar. Whoever made this whole thing up is either foreign or someone who has been told too often that he is smart. Just goes to show there is always stupid people out there.

I have read all of the posts here on this page, and am very glad that I decided to research info about iPAS before venturing into an abyss of lost cash that I really don’t have to invest. I want to know about the products offered, and what exactly I’ll be doing, just as many others have posted here. I have yet to see a follow up response to those questions which disturbs me. There’s no question that I have the discipline required to work from home, since I telecommute for my full time job anyway. My concern is that people are investing $ and getting little for their return. If I pay for a website, I expect the site to be up and running within 48 hours of my payment. What is the big secret about the products, and why with all the info given on the offer, would the price not be listed? How is anyone supposed to have this kind of “blind faith”, when pertinent, reasonable questions are not answered? I personally do not have $500, let alone $50,000 to invest. I mean, shoot.. I don’t have much more than $50K in debt. If I had that money, I would just pay everything I owe, and would be able to get by on my regular salary. I look forward to a response from either Chris. Finally, my last question is, If there is no big deal in revealing the products and exact start up costs, then what’s the big deal? Answer the questions already. Geez!

I have tried ipas What a nightmare! PLEASE do not get involved!
I put in $175.00 all your doing is selling ipas pamplets and a cd for big bucks there was no products There is what they call a back office to see who your selling ipas to thats it. I waited months before relizing they were not giving me nothing for the $175.00 I put in, Nothing. I got a very rude call asking why I would not put in thousands. I dropped out after this. If you do not take my warning God be with the pockets you steal from.
